Parking tickets

Anyone know any loopholes? I was parked at 8pm outside a flat, one sign says no parking 10am till 10pm and then further along the road (where my car was parked nearer to) it says no parking 7am till 7pm except buses. When i first started parking here both signs said 10am till 10pm. But then they changed one to 7am till 7pm. There are no breaks in the single yellow line along the road or any other signs. Going to try this route first, but is there anything else i can try? thanks.

get out there and cut the offending sign down, then take a photo of the 10am-10pm sign and write an accompanying letter to the council saying something like

" the only sign in the area stated parking was between 10am -10pm "

they are usually just jubilee clipped on , should be easy enough to remove :D

but.... you aint seen me .. RIGHT :D

Yes get some black bitumous paint and at night just paint out some short sections of the yellow line, then after a few days (when the shine has faded) take a some pictures of the road showing the breaks in the yellow line (stand back from the gaps abit when taking them) Worked for someone i know,,,,,dont tell the authorites about the breaks in the lines untill you get to court though

Thought I had wrote it wrong then. Woman in the office over phone said I need to put my case in writing within 14 days and then they'll put the £30 fine on hold. After 14 days its usually £60 so I think that means that gives me more time to pay it back even if I don't succeed.
