would the Ti donk fit in a civic coupe circa 1995?
With enough money, any engine will fit in anything :)
More specifically - probly not easily.
The Ti engine is Rover (like the 620D), and is the other way round or something isn't it? And the gearbox is somewhere else...
Someone with more knowledge will no doubt be along shortly :)
ISTR that Honda engines spin the "wrong" way and the gearbox is on the "wrong" side.
Doubtfully a straight fit, but if it did you'd have 5 reverse gears :)
I just thought it would be a tidy sleeper (not a vw type)
if Rover 200/400 mk2 subframes/engine mounts will fit then the Ti engine and box (also the 220 coupe turbo and 220 and 420Gti/Gsi turbo engine) will fit. Whether bonnet clearance and the likes exists who's to say.
Think the 1995 civic platform is different (much too new!) to the R200/400 one though.
B16 VTEC motor; new exhuast manifold, T25, new exhaust system, decent intercooler and intake, 8lbs of boost on standard internals and compresion ratio with a remapped ECU (free - they've been hacked);
230hp or so on Optimax/SUL and without the weight of a T16 to destroy the handling or the Roverness of the T16 to oil your block paving.
Should do yes.
The TI donk is the same as the 200/400/800 Turbos. And the 200/400 share engines with the Civic, cos they're the same car. Assuming the '95 Civic takes the same engine fittings, then there'll be no problem.
