Not really. Fuck knows how they sell any.

I have no idea how they sell any gear. I've never heard it, but my pretty basic knowledge of physics says they can't sound right due to the fact that the drivers are a) small, so can't shift much air and b) are small, so have a high resonant frequency, so can't produce much bass.

I mean, I'd be able to understand it if they were priced at the same level as say, the Pure branded DAB radios etc, but they're not. A basic radio is £300, which obviously gets you a pretty nice sounding conventional hifi.

OTOH there are more than a couple of people with more money than sense. Notably all the people who've bought all the LCD tellys with absolutely piss poor pictures. A mate's got one that can only manage 6 colours...

While we're on the subject of speakers, anyone got any idea where I can pick up a pair of silk dome tweeters cheap? I blew the ones in my KEFs up with a signal generator trying to make upsetting noises. It smelt like the magic smoke got out of them.

KEF would be a good place to start, OE tweeters tend not to be dear - need to replace them in my Tannoy Reveals and they're about 30 quid each.

Otherwise sticking the search terms "dome tweeter" on

comes up with a number of options that might fit.

They don't seem interested in supplying them.

And the seat is lovely and high for getting in and out of. (After the hip op, natch)

Just wait until you try the Seat Altea or the Dodge Caliber. They make the Meriva look like a decent car.
