Re: Yet more OT ramblings.

Transformers. Worst film ever.

Bollocks was it. I went into it wanting to hate the f*ck out of it, but it was complete mindless rambling nonsense and I loved every minute.

Fuckign 2 hours of product placement

Well yea; product placement for Transformers :)

and a blatantly obvious attempt by the yanks to recruit some people > into their armed forces for most of it.

I've always thought paranoia such an interesting subject...

Rambling nonsense, yes. It was far too long. I like a good action film, but Transformers wasn't one.

HP, Apple, Ebay, General Motors...

Heh. I thought it looked like a US Armed Forces Recruiting film. And guess what? The US Armed Forces along with GM "lent their support during filming"...

Like Dan says, you must be looking too hard. Didn't notice anything personally for HP or Apple, if you're the kind of person that gets too hung up on branding then there's no wonder you didn't enjoy it.

eBay, yea, I'll give you that one :)

GM... four cars. It makes commercial sense to use cars that are given you rather than buying them, but it's not like the film only used GM cars, Ford also got their foot in the door...

No different from anything else, they're hardly likely to spend their budget on buying all those Helicopters and wot-nots are they.

And let's face it, the US Army needs all the good PR it can get :)

What an idiot, go post your filth somewhere else. This is a car modification newsgroup. I don't want to read your childish and pointless posts here and I doubt anyone else is interested in your off-topic posts either.

Whilst that may or may not actually be the case, it's not really for you to decide on behalf of everyone else and attempting to do so will not win you any friends in here.
