You foolish foolish person!!! Those things are totally mental. Swedens slightly more eccentric version of the early mk1/2 escort. I believe they are the ones that come with a built in roll cage from the factory, how cool is that?!?! Gimme gimme gimme!

Er...

Who cares ? Look at it ! It's HORRENDOUS !

I'll tell you how cool it is : approximately minus seventy six :)

Told you it was cool.

Surely a negative coolness rating, means it's hot ! ie, not cool at all !

That's what I meant anyway.

On the temperature scale, anything with a minus reading is below zero. Anything below zero temperatures is cool.

that would be why we don't put on our trunks and sunbathe at minus

30degrees. :)

Amd yes it is still very cool.

No no no, it may be lots of things, but unless you're a scary old bearded guy, its not cool. It gets minus severnty six on the coolness rating, where

10 is cool, and 0 is diesel.

he didnt mention degrees, a coolness rating of 100 would be colder than a rating of 30, however on a temp scale using conventional centigrade or farenheit it would be correct.

I was giving it a coolness rating - not a temperature rating !

The more cool it is, the higher it's coolness rating. The less cool it is (ie, minus 76) the lower it's rating :)

But it's not cool ! It's horrible :)

Maybe you had to be there as it assaulted all your senses then.

Yes you could taste exhaust fumes and touch the bits of rubber it threw through the air on corners.

BTW, Nom, how old are you again? It might be an old git thing.

BTW, do you recall the Top Gear cool wall, where sub zero was reserved for cars you culd only ever drool over?

I'm with Clarkson on it's scale, calibration and direction.

Who cares? Its not designed to look good, its designed to be driven and driven hard! It's not for nancy boys like yourself who have come to rely upon safe understeery cars with air con and electric windows :)

Fools

Talking of cool, i've been looking up insurance premiums on various cars for me to hoon about in (325i, SD1, 405Mi16, BX16v etc) when i get some no claims next month. All around £700 - £830 (about the same as now). But then i looked at another car thats built like a brick shithouse, with a torquey 2.0l 120bhp lump and RWD and it came to under £500. Thats right, in a couple of months i'll be looking for a Volvo 360GLT, the ultimate in cool :)
