Scrap the planned vehicle tracking and road pricing policy

Scrap ANPR because they don't need GPS to track you with that...

I think you misunderstand what ANPR does and how many people are caught breaking the law by using ANPR. It's a great system. It also stops boy racer idiots with italic numberplates, people without current tax and insurance and MOT. Get that lot off the roads and it is better. The only problem is the lack of class 1 police drivers that can chase after a car. Often if it is unregistered or reported stolen and pursued, if it goes too wild at the wrong time of day or in the wrong conditions, the pursuit is terminated to protect the public. So the criminal just keeps doing it. Most people driving without tax, insurance and MOT tend to be known criminals anyway, mainly smackheads. So I am in favour of ANPR and anything else that puts the scumbags behind bars. Don't forget you are already tracked by your mobile phone to within 20feet or so. Every SIM card you use in every phone, each IMEI is cross referenced with others. So if you have a stolen phone people know about it.

I often find people that are afraid of ANPR and identity cards tend to have something to hide - or why else would they be bothered.

Or perhaps you do. It's planned to log all vehicle movements using ANPR.

If I were that bothered I could turn my phone off or use an unregistered mobile. The thing with ANPR is that I don't have a choice.

You won't be saying that when they're spaced every 1/4 mile along our motorways AS PLANNED

Oh dear...

I'm bothered, because I'm still free to be allowed to be bothered. I don't want that freedom taken away.
