------------------------------------------------------------------------- No1 son passed it on to me. I liked the wheels but once I raised the suspension it looked silly and I couldn't stand the ride of it lowered. So, beautiful 5 spoke wheel trims now adorn it. :p
Hi people, Looong long time since I posted in 'ere.......*some* of you might remember I my Manta coupe from days of yore (wasn't there a gallery of the cars online somewhere?). Well, I've been through various motors since, couple of mkII golfs, a polo glx etc etc. Now we've got a fire breathing beast of a car..
Actually, we haven't. I just don't have the time or the money or the commitment these days, so, I drive a Polo FSI (3 door, sport (oxymoron that one...)). The one with the 86 bhp motor. Its a completely uninspiring car but it does handle surprisingly well - the spring and damper rates are solid as standard so it remains very flat even when being pushed on through the twistys. Spec level ain't to bad either so it looks like I'll be keeping it for the foreseeable.
I've still got my Rover SD1 V8, which has been mod'd a bit. It's been converted to manual, lowered, adjustable dampers, polybushed suspension, polybushed gearchange remote, converted to SU carbs with K&Ns, big SS exhaust and a nice Moto Lita steering wheel. At the weekend it should also have some Vitesse alloys to improve the looks and stop the back end trying to overtake the front when there's the slightest hint of a water droplet on the road....

The other half is driving round a a 106 XSi 1.6 which we've just done a top end overhaul on. Mod's are limited to GTi Raptor alloys and a Janspeed exhaust. But it does 42mpg and looks good in our opinions so suits her fine...
If money wasn't an object I'm sure I would but being a single parent with a c*nt for a younger son it's not possible.. Meanwhile I'm looking for cheap ways to make improvements....like loseing the spare wheel and emptying the ashtrays :o)
