I like these posts cos I get to discover lots of weird and wonderful things everyone's listening to.
At the moment I'm listening to;
Faithless - Forever Genesis - Selling England by the Pound Simon and Garfunkel - The Concert in Central Square Prodigy - Music for the jilted generation U2 - The Unforgettable Fire Blondie - Greatest Hits Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - So Far. Pink Floyd - The Final Cut Ozric Tentacles - Pyramidion
Haven't listened to many whole albums recently, but stuff that's been coming through my speakers, either from CD or MP3 on the PC, has been:
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (recorded live at Live8, amongst the rest of their set) Julian Lennon - Salt Water Coldplay - Fix You Supertramp - Another Man's Woman Beats International - Dub Be Good to Me James Blunt - You're Beautiful (I'm one of the few that hasn't got tired of this, I think) The Boo Radleys - C'mon Kids The Longpigs - All Hype The Beatles - A Day in the Life Athlete - You Got the Style Ben Folds Five - Missing The War / Evaporated (last two tracks off 'Whatever
Ever Amen') Blur - Sing Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head Frank Sinatra - My Way Coldplay - Politik ELO - Mr Blue Sky Pete Bell - Give Pete a Chance (from

- nearly up to 1000 Petes on there!) James - Sit Down The Longpigs - Far (absolute cracking tune) Marion - Your Body Lies Oasis - Live Forever (original demo, from some free tape on the NME ages ago - simply brilliant) James - What For (live, acoustic) James - Sit Down (live, acoustic) Geneva - No One Speaks The Libertines - Can't Stand Me Now Radiohead - Karma Police
At the moment mostly the new Prodigy album, which is great. And also the clubbers guide to trance, mixed by ATB which I found whilst having a clear up at the weekend. Both really make me want to get a decent stereo in the car, which is currently an old tape player with standard speakers :(
Other than that its mostly been Scott Mills and Chris Moyles on the radio.
Blink 182 live (about 50 tracks), Nickelback - All the right reasons Offspring - Greatest hits A general comilation of the above including GreenDay, 3 Doors Down, Nine Days, Sum 41.
I bet most of you wont have heard of these (well apart from the RHCP of course):
Red Hot Chili Peppers - a compilation of all their melodic stuff Spyro Gyra - compilations from various albums MVP - Centrifugal Funk (always in the car.. an awesome collection of prog-jazz guitar solos) Frank Zappa - a compilation of various tracks
Bought Parallel Lines by Blondie last week and it's been on constantly since. Still not had my fill, it's top. Just loads of good songs and I reckon is the Best album I've heard in the last five years, even though it is from 1978.
Can we add a hatred list too? Or is that a bit cheeky? (I read A.A. Gill's column in the Sunday Times and have embraced my seething hatred even more now)
f*ck all really apart from the odd dose of MTV base request show. used to listen to most of my shit in the car, aint done that for 3 weeks now for some reason? :-P
In the last few weeks it's been Pulp, Procol Harum, John Cale, Goldfrapp, The Pixies, Pearl Jam, Bowie, King Crimson, Stereolab, Mogwai, U2, Pink Floyd...
Cool - do you play the guitar aswell? If so, the bit at the end of this review is quite spot on :)

It's basically metal sounding guitars over a jazz-funk backdrop. Can probably make it available for evaluation purposes if you can't find it via your normal channels.
