The Octavia passed OK.

4 advisories, but nothing to worry about urgently. 1 rear disc a bit worn and some rust from standing, The rear brakes binding a little but not excessive. These showed in the Service I had done when I got it but they advised it would probably fail the MOT in the rear disc. The car had been stood for a few months when I bought it. They freed the brakes off then, but if I keep it, I guess it means new calipers for the rear and a pair of discs.

Other 2 were power steering hose touching on the bottom rad hose, but not worn or showing rub marks. And slight anti-freeze stain on the radiator.

All in all, not bad, because it means the car isn't dangerous and can be driven and I don't have another overly large to bill to shell out before I'm working.

The plonker in Blackburn was supposed email me to arrange a meeting on Friday, in Manchester, after he had another meeting "Hopefully to give me some positive news". Unfortunatley I have no idea how positive that news was, because he didn't email me where he would be and when.

Had another interview yesterday in Manchester, they want someone to contract for 3 months, then make the role permanent. Haven't heard back yet.

And I have another next Tuesday, but that is in Preston. Still waiting to hear if I have interviews for some others I have applied for.

That doesn't sound too fantastic. You should just keep on looking for something - like going fishing with a hundred rods or something, cast them all out and see what comes back. It is a pain in the arse though, I can relate to that.

Did you have a word with them BMW fellas in Latchford? A friend of mine just bought an E34, he's as happy as Larry with it. Built like a tank & very comfy apparently.

Oh don't worry, the job mails go out thick and fast everyday. Should get lucky very soon. Problem is, as I was laid off in September, all the young stupid, eager, very talented, naive and cheap students had just gotten their degrees and decided to get jobs. By the time they were all sorted, it was approaching Xmas and nobody really employs at Xmas.

now that is over, the positions are starting to appear.

I haven't yet. I'm going to wait until I'm sorted with work. Once I know what kind of driving I need to do, then I'll sort out what kind of vehicle I need. Don't want to waste his time, picking his brain and annoying him until I'm sure what I'm after.
