Toyota Pious mini-review.

Saturdays are OK, Sundays are great, but Monday to Friday rush hour is an absolute nightmare.

That's damn impressive.

Probably costs me £40 for 200 miles in the Scorp.

At current prices (£1.03/l) that equates to 46.8mpg

So, 250 miles for £50ish would be about 23.4mpg?

That's not bad going then here :-)

A friend of mine with a ~300 Hp impreza took me for a spin - about 6 miles, less than 5 minutes (which given the roads is rather alarming) and nearly 5 quid in fuel... ouch. Still, cheaper than going on a roller coaster, I suppose. :-)

Hehe, yup. The real running costs are ridiculous - he goes through a set of tyres every 3k miles or so, at ~£500 a set, the clutch lasts about 6k miles, and in the 3 years he's owned it he's needed 2 gearboxes and some sort of diff thing. It may well be directly responsible for him constantly complaining about not having any money...
