Utterly worthless. Cars. Argh!

I picked up the Supra again, having left it parked in Kelso for the past god-knows-how-long when I had the Subaru to get sorted. I've been asking £600, but no takers, so I taxed it - it's already depressing enough that a nice[1] car like the Supra isn't worth that much (and I'm not denying that it isn't - I know enough dealers to know better), but the brakes are sticking now too, so I have to spent something fixing it.

On the plus side, the A/C still works and it still drives just fine aside from the sticky brakes.

But... what the hell happened? I know I always fail to get good money for a car when I want to sell it (unless I'm selling as a dealer, when I usually do well. Don't understand it at all), but the Supra not being worth £600? The proof is eBay, as always - Manual Turbo without anything too horrid wrong with it (probably worse than mine, but a far more desireable model), £620.

No police around to discuss my 'stolen' Beetle yet ;)

Richard, now off to tax the Sera. Too many bloody cars :(

[1] Very little rust, especially for a 16 year old car, always starts first time as long as the battery hasn't drained (sodding alarms, but needed for insurance), tyres stay inflated, doesn't seem to leak too much except the usual pool in the hatchback trim, looks really nice when cleaned, has an almost perfect interior, and all the gadgets work including the A/C.

It's seventeen years old mate. And it was never really a classic in the 3rd gen form. 600 quid is an ok price though. They are worth at least Aus$6k around here. Why not part it out? It does have the 2.5 twin turbo doesn't it? Sell the donk to Remus or Scotish Rob.

Err... well, they could probably try and fit it in a Nova or summat. But it's the 200bhp, 3.0 non turbo. More reliable than the 3.0 Turbo, but not a patch on a 1JZ - they never sold the GA/JA Supras here, only the MA.

Even then, I reckon it's worth £600 easily, but since no-one agrees :(

I like them, but not enough to purchase even a turbo model at that price. Good luck selling it though!
