It won't be much cheaper!

My insurance is £800, fully comp, with an 899cc Fiat Seicento (IG 1) and 1 years NCB

When that happened to me, my depression was alleviated partially by the fact that the insurance on my mini dropped from £800 to £600. Since then I've come to realise that getting old, like cardigans and driving sedately, is actually quite cool.

Mimes £500 fully comp on a group 7 405....

But then i do have that handy nigh on 5 years NCB now :)

(bike when i was 16).

That's the problem with getting old - you actually start to believe that cardigans and driving sedately ARE cool. Then, you start to believe that you're cool as well. It's around about that time that dementure occurs and you start blabbering things like 'where am I?' and 'I like the look of that Daewoo Matiz, it looks quite cool, especially when driven slowly'.

Whoa now. Cardigans _are_ cool. They're like jumpers, but with buttons and pockets. How is that not cool?

Well, yes. That's what the left hand and middle lanes of the motorway are for, isn't it?

On a more serious note, I was recently worried to find myself seriously considering buying an automatic volvo estate. The me from 5 years ago would have disowned me for such a thing. I mean, dammit, I'm only 27. In my defence, it was a T5 :-)

Sheesh!

When I was your age I had an 1100cc Mini and paid £65 tpft!

Adrain Flux. Shite as anything and complete piss artists. But their cheap as chips and as the car I have insrued with them only does a few K a year the chances of me needing their services are slim. £508 on a 300+bhp Saab C900 T16S Aero, Limited to 5000 miles a year, all mods declared.

My daily driver is fully comp with Axa as thats a fair bit more likely to get pranged.

Just realised no-one's said happy birthday to you yet. I'd hate to break tradition, so I won't either :-)

I've been waiting for an insurance reduction because of age. I'm still waiting.

Try confused.com, that seems a bit steep.

I'm also 23 and I am now insuring a 150bhp group 14 car fully comp for the same £600 I paid TPO on a 65odd bhp 205 Diesel about 3 years ago. I still have no no claims discount.

Technically my insurance hasn't gotten cheaper, but I get an awful lot more cover for my money.

I got mine but all it meant was that it was still =A3250 a year but I=20 could insure a 2L Mondeo FC for that instead of a 3.5L V8 SD1 which I=20 did back in '88. Still alot less than the poor sods paying =A31000+ to=20 insure a 1L Corsa.
