apparently they do a 122 version of the merc vito (3,199 cc and 230 ft/lbs) which has the thick end of 220 bhp and does the 60 dash in 7.3 seconds and
194 top whack eek!unfortunatly i've only got a 111 which has (by way of it's 2,148cc's and
16V's) 107 brake, 200 ft/lbs, does 60 in 15.5 secs and reaches a top whack of 159 in 6thalready had it up to 147 on the digital clock but i am running it in so i haven't passed 3400 rpm (red line is at 4600)
generaly it's a quick motor, handles like a big motor (esp stabilty aside which is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on country lanes, and very usefull when toasting 4.6 HSE things round the twisties) 1st and 2nd are virtually useless and then you are breaking the speed limit, stero is pretty good, leccy windows are a revalation with their one shot up/down stuff, lots of light son the dash which i'm still figuring out, 400 town miles from 70 litres in the tank (eh? thats fecking great isn't it?), is very revable, even though i'm trying to stop it form going past the 3400 rpm mark till it hits 1000 miles, then a little more until 4 or 5 k on the clock and it will be swinging it's way to the 4600 rpm limit, and it's very, very, very long at 4,993 mm's and the wheelbase of 3,200 mm's it's barely big enough to fit into the front garden (well, i do have the rear section of granada sitting there as well :) )
so, as justin says, i'm luvvin it!
the downside is that the c/l don't work because osme muppet has decided to disconnect the locked door sendor inside the 4 inch thick fibreglassed fridge body lots of red faces i can see here
but thumping along with fiddy out the windows during a day like today is well worth it
another 2 day later report when something goes wrong with it :)
