I'm sorry but.. no matter how nifty the color changing dash is.. I still think it's a step back (yeah yeah, retro and all but) it looks like crap.

Also, the rear live axle setup could be a big pain to change the springs on... look like you would need to drop the entire axle ! Remove NO-SPAM from email address when replying

Over all I like the V6 better than the GT. This new body screams for a return of the LX. loose the GT grille, can the tin crap on the inside and leave the ugly 18" wheels behind and you still have a darn nice looking car and 300 hp too. Sadly after the flop of the GTS I doubt they will try it again.

Knowing your like of big block engines you should look into the new kit from Kenne Bell for the 4.6L GT's. Here's a link (take notice of the torque curves):

The 9 psi intercooled kits have been making 400-440 rwhp/rwtq consistently on the 99+ GT's.

** Still at a low price?

I think they quoted $26,700 for a base-model GT. Way too rich for my blood; I may give it 2-3 years, then pick up a slightly-used beast for about half of that. One should be able to grab an '03 Cobra for about $20k here in a couple of years as well. I'll let someone else buy new and take the big-dollar hit.

The new wheels and some of the interior glitz are hideous IMO, but the suspension and engine look to be top drawer. I'm sure I'll warm up to it the minute I see one in person though.

Thanks Ford, for listening.

That's what I'm talkin' about JD!! Let someone else soak up the Depreciation Costs!

Personally, I don't see where people get the $$$ for these $30k+ Cars.......

The link is dead. Anywhere else?

Is hard info available now (options, specs, pricing)? If not, when?

I've been loving this since the spy pics. And the price means I can keep the '02 GT.
