It's a surprisingly good evolution that captures both the old classic heritage yet looks completely up to date without any rice.

I caught those in Google News, and it looks fantastic. A Mustang with Italian-flavored lines...

I'd like to believe that Ford would build it, but... Nah.

Guess I am not the only one thinking it has a good shot at being another footnote in mustang history like this car:

That's a Challenger from the door forward.

I was going to say just wait a year or so and you will be able to buy one from DC. Plus, Ford got close to it by selling this:

The first... definite Torino lines

the latter - Yuck and yucchhhh! looks like something AMC might have done

Back in its day that was one car that Ford made a "Bold Move" on. It wasn't something I would buy but for the oil embargo days of the early

1970s it was a rare high point for automotive performance, IMHO.

Isn't that a Pantera?

Yeah. The mid engined car built by DeTomaso that used a 351C. Here's a link:

Over all comments on thread. I do like the styling of the Mustang, it is very similar to the Shelby concept car at the recent auto shows.

Vs the Lotus. Apples and Oranges better yet fruits and veggies not including tomatoes hehe. This is purposely done to help market the Lotus. Comparing these cars is ludicrous. Nothing between these cars matches to compare. For instance 2 passenger vs. 4, front engine rwd vs. mid engine rwd, car weight, hp, prices, luxury sport vs. racer, etc... The little Lotus is a little more then a T-Rex or go cart let alone a car. IMO you want to compare something remotely close to this with a Ford power train you have to look back in time and try a Cobra, Tiger, Griffith, etc... More recent years perhaps a SHO-gun which was a tuner car though or an RS200 ahhh. :) Its so easy to bash this test, for example if you want to argue price you can either have two Mustang GT's or invest another $30-40k and make a super car out of the Mustang.

Pantera. That was one fine car. I would so love to see that car be resurrected. Another very nice car for its time was the Bricklin.

MSRP on a Z06 is $68,590.00. But it only seats two:) Think the Corvette might hold its resale value a little longer:)

Happy Thanksgiving, all.
