I just bought a 70 mustang fastback 351w 4 speed. It originally had a
302. It has standard brakes in the front. I want to put dics brakes in the front with a power booster. The kits I have found don't supply a power booster. Why is this? I was able to find a new power brake master at the parts store. Would this work with the new kit? I probably will need to change out the brake pedal and rod. Will I be able to use the old spindles for the disc conversion?
I've got a reman. booster in box that fits 68, so I assume works on 70s too. Might consider selling if you wana make an offer. Otherwise, you should be able to find one somewhere with a little hunting...
Brings up a question, tho: I've been planning to retrofit power brakes on my Couger in lieu of the power drums. I can't see any difference--at least visibly--between the power drum booster on there now, and the disc booster i found for the disc brake set. What prevents me from simply using my power drum booster? If I can, then I don't need the disc booster
