'93 triple black GT, $$$$?????

I may have found a prospect for my future car. Its a little more than I wanted to spend but it is beautiful. The car is a triple black GT with leather. The whole car is like brand new and has 80,000 on the odo. It has a TKO tranny, edelbrock ported heads, cobra intake, cobra r rims, lots of other tasteful mods. I was thinking if I get it I could swap the heads with the ones on my truck but not sure yet. Anyway, what do you think it would be worth?? I haven't been looking at verts for long. Thanks for any help. Erik D. '94 white lightning

Somewhere between $6K and $7K, depending upon how hard it's been run with those tasteful mods.

I was thinking about flying out to Minnesota to look at a '93 triple black GT, when I was looking for my spare....

Hmm....this one is a little more than that, actually he wants 8500. I sorta know the guy through the internet because he has a 94 lightning too. I know the car is in perfect shape and hasn't been driven hard at all and is garage kept. I plan on looking around for at least a month though before I make a final decision so I will see what else is out there. Thanks alot, Erik D. '94 white lightning mustang hunting

Thats pretty overpriced IMO. I'd offer him $6,500.. $7K tops.

This always kinda makes me wonder. Why does it have the mods if it isnt driven hard? I saw an ad the other day for a 5.0 with somethin like 500RWHP, all kinds of goodies on it and it said in the ad "never driven hard." Uh.. ok.

You're trying to say, that someone would do all of those "tasteful" mods, and never drive this car hard?

*over the glasses look*

I may have fallen off the truck, but it wasn't yesterday. Even old ladies like ME drive em hard sometimes.

I think he overvalues the car. As the seller, that's the proper thing to do. As the buyer, it never is.

But it's okay to fall in love with a car, if it's exactly what you've been looking for. Fall in love with any Mustang; you're asking for trouble. Fall in love with a 1993 GT convertible, you're stepping in it. Fall in love with a low-mileage 1993 triple-black GT convertible with tasteful mods, and there's actually nothing wrong with that.

It's okay to end up "overpaying" for exactly what you want, but only if it truly is exactly what you want.

I guess what I meant as far as driving hard, was driven alot. The car stays in a garage all the time and only gets taken out on sunny days. I don't see stomping the gas as necessarily driving hard, but I do see daily driving as driving hard. I know the car hasn't been down a track either. Thanks for all the responses, I don't want to overpay at all. I'll look around some more but I may go take a look at it and visit disney world in September anyway. Erik D.
