A/C & Heater fan problem

I am the proud owner of a 2001 Mustang GT. Today I noticed that the A/C & heater fan is not working at low speed. Works fine on medium and high speed. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Is this going to cost $$$ to fix? Thanks for any help on this matter.

It is probably either the resistor pack or the fan switch. I don't think the parts are more then $25 to $50 each and you should be able to do the resistor pack yourself even if you barely know how to work on a car. The switch would be easy to do if you are somewhat familiar with taking cars apart. I suspect you can get whatever it is fixed at a dealer for about $100 to $150 tops.

Sounds like a bad blower resistor. It's under the dash in the air duct. Has a connector with about 4 wires. You should be able to find it in a manual at the library. BTW: Dealer only part, cost around $30 retail.
