CDR issues with Mach460 in 00 Mustang

I have a 2000 Mustang GT with the Mach460 factory upgrade stereo. The cd player is single cd.

I am having ejecting problems with cd-r discs. They play fine but do not eject easily. I hit eject and I hear the mechanism moving but the cd does not come out. I usually have to play the cd-r, skip and fast forward a bit to get it to finally eject. Regular silver cds eject without any problems.

anyone have any suggestions? thanks, Mark Grzymala

Do you have sticky paper labels on these CDRs? Ford put out a warning not to use CDs with attached paper labels because they can get stuck in the player.

I discovered that the CDs I get from the library have a sticky plastic label, and the same problem occurs with me, especially when it is hot.

Some brands of CD-Rs are thicker than others. Try another brand.

Almost sounds like the cd-r's are marginally thicker than store-bought music cd's.

The brand of cd-rs I just checked seem to be exactly the same thickness and diameter. I wonder if the brand you have is slightly off in thickness or diameter.
