Been listening to those guys for years. They're great! And they sort of actually know what they're talking about. ;)

My wife likes to listen to them - has done so for several years.

I enjoy listening to them because they don't take themselves too seriously and most of the time they give reasonable advice. They are a lot more fun to listen to then most of the car "talk" shows, most of which are just shilling for their local garage and justifying overpriced and unneeded services.

Young men don't listen to NPR. Young men with young children don't listen to NPR. Men with older children might tune into NPR. Aging men with grown children listen to NPR. Older men with children who have children don't listen to NPR. They nap.

Men and women of any age might do themselves and the nation some good if they did listen to NPR rather than what passes for "news" in this country.

Hey, 23 ain't old!
KUOW (.org) is awesome! :)
When did NPR get a real news service, instead of the DNC sponsored "news" propoganda?

"A real news service" as compared to what? NPR happens to be one of the best sources for real news. If you dig propaganda, try watching Faux news; It's disgusting what they try and pass off as "news".
For example, NPR listeners appear to suffer least from the misinformation regarding Iraq that plagues some of the other major news networks.
From a good study on the topic :
"The extent of Americans? misperceptions vary significantly depending on their source of news. Those who receive most of their news from Fox News are more likely than average to have misperceptions. Those who receive most of their news from NPR or PBS are less likely to have misperceptions."
Okay... they're humorous, not hilarious.

If you dont listen to it, how do you know?
I am a conservative (a real conservative, one that believes in the Constitution), and don't object to anything I hear on NPR. Of course they do present multiple views on a subject and that does tend to complicate things a bit.. it forces you to THINK. I understand this can be quite difficult for most and why they prefer to see things as simply good or evil.

Jeez, I didn't mean to set off a firestorm of political debate on this! YOUR response was by far the most reasoned.
But, truth to tell, I was talking about Patrick, who, from my perspective, is still very much a young man.

Click 'n' Clack's greatest contribution is to debunk -- to the Volvo, Toyota, and Honda crowd itself -- the myth of Volvo, Toyota and Honda infallibility. Particularly Volvos, but they dump equally on all the imports. In fact, they might be kindest of all to domestics, but that's mainly because the NPR crowd just doesn't own domestics. So few ever phone in with a problem with a domestic.
As far as their humor, I think they're pretty funny. Any form of entertainment that makes me smile or even laugh out loud at least once per hour is highly rated on the comedy meter. I could sit through the entire output of Adam Sandler or the Austin Powers movies, for example, and not get there even once. Click 'n' Clack are pretty reliable to come up with at least one good one per hour, usually more.
This John Del guy sounds like he believes Iraq had a WMD program and helped carry out 9-11. I mean, if Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity says it, it must be true. Now THAT'S funny.
