Does Ford have any E85 plans?

Ethanol 85. Has anyone heard if Ford has plans to make vehicles in the near future that are E85 compatible?

Let's hope not. E85 is just not a good idea at a number of levels. BusinessWeek did an analysis recently and did a pretty good job of completely debunking the utility of E85...I think I've got it bookmarked....here it is:

Too late. They make 4 off them. I thought the Ranger and Explorer were E-85 compatible a couple of years ago? Taurus was too but its no more.

Ford has several E85 vehicles, including 12 model years of the Taurus. On the 2006 Ford Taurus flexible fuel vehicle (FFV) sedan order cutoff was February 16, 2006. While production of the 2007 vehicle started in early April, the flexible fuel gas/ethanol engine is being discontinued and will not be available for any of the model year 2007 run(through August).

Some 2006 FFV Taurus are still in stock... dealers are attempting to maintain a reasonable inventory through this month(June) if you really need one.

Where have you been? Ford had one of the first E85 vehicles available on the market starting with the '98 Taurus.
