EBAY PROBLEM-SQUARE TRADE

Don't use ebay square trade mediator if a deal has gone bad on ebay.

Example: If an ebayer has left you a retalitory negative feedback and you contact square trade to try to get it removed they will charge $20.00 up front to mediate with the other party, BUT if the other party doesn't want to participate the case is closed automatically. POOF! your $20.00 is gone and of course it's non refundable. A buyer has no protection from paypal, ebay or square trade!

I recently went through the exact same situation over a $6 ($4+ $2 shipping) cellular phone leather cover. I used "buy it now" not realizing with some sellers it is buy it now and it will ship it within the next couple of weeks. I left an honest neautral comment and was hit with a negative in return as retaliation. After going the $20 Square Trade route the seller never responded so my feedback rating was restored back to 100%. His feedback can still be seen but it doesn't affect my rating. The seller is a real POS, he has had 102 this month with 346 total negatives yet he is still selling. For a good laugh check out Ebay name ecellularplus, all those people living bad feedback for no reason.

Tim,

Sucks... what a jerkoff. Glad you got your 100% positive back though... sucks that it costed $20 to do it!

Yes, burned by the seller and then square trade! I contacted paypal and their policy is: If you receieved a package theres nothing we can do. Ebay never even responded to my fraud complaint or request to remove the feedback.

wait a minute... you're telling me you bought something from a guy with a really bad feedback record?

Remember this... if you do that and then go to a mediator, they're going to think you're an idiot. Esp if you're betting 20 on a 6 dollar prize.

WHen I'm looking at otherwise good feedback I find it real EASY to id the slimeballs who are retaliating.

It all sorts out eventually... do you realize how many transactions go through there a day? I'm amazed they handle things as well as they do!

Bottom Line: mediation with a bad apple is for suckers... just send in a complaint. And point to retaliators feedback

The guy that "got" me had 100% positive feedback(16) he used the "bait & switch" method to get more bids & money. FWIW Ebay has never did anything about the complaints I've filed other than to say we're sorry and we'll send a warning.

I don't recall telling you no such thing, the seller only had a few bad feedbacks out of something like 11,000 transactions at the time.

dollar >prize.

This must be an ASSumtion of yours, nowhere did I say anything about betting $20 on a $6 dollar item. The total cost was $4+ $2 shipping which is reasonable for a phone case.

You obviously have no idea as to how it works within eBay. The only way to have feedback removed in this type of situation is through a court order or mediation, eBay will NOT just simply remove it.

Was it worth the $20 to have the feedback removed, in my eyes yes. For the many here that has dealt with me know that is NOT how I run my business and I do not want my rating to reflect anything other than my reputation.

He had a couple but NOTHING like he has now. I never imagined I would have such a problem trying to get a POS cover for my new cell phone. I E-mailed the clown after waiting about 12 days to inquire about its shipment, his response was "this has already shipped" BUT when I get it the postage was sent the day I E-mailed him so I left a neautral feedback which was 100% honest on my part. I recently purchased a 50 FT hose for our pressure washer, it took them 10 days to ship after buying instantly. (left a neautral for them as well). Gotta love that "buy it now", for some sellers it should read "send your money now and I will ship your shit whenever I feel like it" I ship within 24 hours of receiving payment or I start to feel guilty, unfortunately others don't hold the same commitment.

I started a campain against him while waiting for the mediation, I contacted everyone he left a retalitor feedback for after mine ang got many to file complaints. As you see eBay took ZERO action as it is NOT against their policy to leave retalitory feedback, they frown upon it but it is NOT against their policy and therefore will not interdict (came directly from their response to me) I did leave a message on his answering machine thanking him and to let him know I was able to get it removed. Funny thing was not long ago someone bid on something like 8 or so auctions and left bad feedback for every single one, but eBay was quick to remove it from his feedback. Now all I need to do is call in to their radio talk and give them my opinions, BTW, they broadcast live on Tuesdays at
