Engine Rebuilding in San Diego???

Would anyone happen to know of a good inexpensive engine rebuilder in the San Diego area? I have a 66 mustang that I just completely rebuilt the top end on and now I am getting a massive amount of blow by on my bottom end and new to get the bottom rebuilt (or at least new rings and seals).

Thanks!

I would highly recommend John's Mustangs and Classics @

John rebuilt my 351C and stroked it to 377 CID. Their shop has been featured in "how-to" articles in Mustang Monthly as well as other magazines.

Yet another $.02 worth from a proud owner of a 1970 Mach 1 351C @

Take it to a good shop in Tijuana. Some of those guys are amazing and cheap. Do NOT TAKE THE CAR. Just pull the engine and they will come and get it.

Get your numbers all written down and make sure they know you have those numbers. Give them a copy and tell them why it is important that you get back your engine with matching numbers. Sometimes they just don't understand and it really is not their fault because nobody has explained to them the value of keeping something original.

cheers and goodluck. "But now is the time for the younger men to lock in rough encounters, time for me to yield to the pains of old age. But there was a day I shone among the champions."
