It's been wonderful.

I got half-shitfaced, as did my better half... and then we got into an argument leaving things in limbo until tomorrow morning when she makes a decision on whether or not she wants me around...

This is my typical Valentine's Day..... *sigh*

You think that's bad...I have been married twice. Both times my wife left me on Valentine's day...10 years apart :-) Not exactly my favorite holiday.

I left a girl on Valentine's Day (actually 12:10 Feb 15th) because she told me (at around 10:30PM Feb 14th) that she was going to go find someone else to sleep with. I figured that was grounds for dismissal from the park. Things were bad and she'd cheated on me a couple times before this. I still hear about it to this day, even though I wasn't the one in the wrong.

That's rough though, Mike... I feel for ya. I'm feeling it right now. This was a girl I felt I could have spent my life with, and now she's contemplating leaving over something stupid. At least I was smart enough this time to not apologize for my existance as I typically seem to do and just tell her how it is.... take me as I am or leave me, but make up your mind. When it comes to females, I typically give in (except on modes of transportation... I'm keeping the Cobra and my Ninja... and a few other things that I'm opinionated about), and it seems to end me up in this trouble all the time.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow afternoon.

At least tomorrow has one bright point. Someone's coming to look at my '85GT to possibly buy it. It'll pay for that Florida trip that I'm taking with her... if she's still in the picture... if not, I'll just have to find a girl that wants an all expenses paid trip to Clearwater Beach, FL - something tells me that shouldn't be too hard to find...

Historically, Valentine's Day is famous for getting kicked to the curb. Here's hoping you beat the odds.

I've got so much going on that I'm not at all interested in meeting anyone. I do get some interesting solicitations though. A supermarket clerk hit on me Friday evening, telling me that judging by the contents of my cart, I must be quite the chef, and that she was going to try marinating BBQ'd chicken with beer, and wanted to know if I'd ever done it before. No sooner did I say "well, no, I haven't.", the gal bagging up my groceries piped "She's lying - she just thinks you're hot and wants your number." The clerk looked embarassed and a bit shy.

What did I do? Like any virile, intelligent male of the species, I smiled, grabbed my stuff and headed quickly for the door.

Regards,

I lost 2 wives.... both went certifiable. The first was bad, but I was young and dumb and in time I moved on... besides it had been a rocky marriage for all 13 years. This one was a total shock. One day she was who I had always know, the next she couldn't recall our marriage and wanted out. Then she began accusing me of 16 years of abuse which, fortunately her son and all the rest knew was bogus. And then in divorce she gave me the cars, dog, house, investments, bank accounts, furnishings, all the gifts, etc she had ever gotten, etc. Her attorney then knew she had a problem. The shrinks later told me she was bi-polar (manic depressive). To this day she still doesn't realize it... she thinks all of us are crazy.

SO.... where's this grocery store with the clerk who wants to use beer.... have I got a recipe for her...... ; ) V'ger

I'm going to Winter Haven for my cousin's wedding. I'm flying down on the

23rd of April... staying there that night and the 24th... leaving the 25th and driving to Clearwater Beach. Flying back to Pittsburgh on the 30th.

What's it like there? I've never been there...

Way way warmer than in Pitts. :-) Winter Haven is more or less central Fla. Very rural and nice. There are places to go to but it depends on what your interests are... Ranging from a vintage aircraft museum to Bok Towers if you like nature.

Clearwater has one of the best beaches around and a pretty decent Mustang only speed shop called Need-4-Speed (.com) Nightlife isn't half bad either. You may wish to drive over to Tampa and visit Ybor City and/or Channelside. If you are into amusement parks, there is of course Busch Gardens.

My grandmother lives in Cocoa... I've been there a time or two. Nice little joint. I'll be in Winter Haven for the wedding and family

Cool cool. Probably a beach vacation though. What's the weather like around there in late April? I'm flying down, so I won't have my Cobra with me. Damn shame... coulda gotten them to weld in my Global West subs...

Should be nice, warm and sunny. Probably high 70's low 80's. Pity about not having the Cobra, you could've hung out with the local Mustang club. :-)

Thanks for the info and the offer. I was considering renting a V6 convertible... unfortunately it's an extra $200 more than the Chrysler convertible... money I really don't have. Who knows... I might take the car on a road trip down there one of these days yet...

You're more than welcome. Check out

for a schedule of events. You can always drop by and park that 'thing' out of sight. :-) Depending on who you rent from, you may end up with a vert stang if they run out of those Chryslers.
