Slip off your meds again Jason? Not much you can do will alter your status a sniveling little brown nosing twit, with an enormously over inflated opinion of yourself and your meager automobile knowledge.

I guess you didn't get the memo. ramfm is now more of a social club than hard core tech. Either way, I find it entertaining. YMMV ;)

Hey Joe. Is this a leading question? ;-) I got the C-code in Oct. '95, so I'd imagine it was sometime right around then.

Yeah, I have seen people do 400-post threads about Repugs and Dems and stuff, totally off-topic. ;)

How transparent can you be?

As I said, YMMV. I have had some rather lengthy OT thread interactions, as you appear to know about, that I thoroughly enjoyed. No one is forced to read anything here if the topic annoys them. I can only answer so many subframe connector questions in a week before going mad and seeking out an OT thread to wedge myself into. I do salivate at the chance to answer a question about blowers though. Unfortunately they are few and far between. I think every group has discussions that wonder off the reservation to varying degrees.

Anymore, I look at this place as my own personal "Cheers" of Usenet. Although I have actually met just a few of the people here personally, I consider many to be good friends anyway. If I came here for tech discussions only I would have left a long, long time ago. The idea of ramfm and ahpbbfm pissing on each other does make me chuckle. It's good entertainment. Wait.... did I just see a new subframe connector post? Hot damn! I gotta go now!

Wow, that is a while ago. Think I started around 4 or 5 year ago - I was still on dial-up back then in the old days..

If you think this place is bad, you should check out the dodge truck group. What a friggin' riot.

Hey, what's the best oil filter?

No, he's right. When Al Gore and I put up the tubes that form the backbone of all the internets, Jason was waiting in line to send one of the first posts.

We were using a converted Atari game console at the time.

Well it's Fram right??? It has to be, that's the only one with the little grippy thing to unscrew it...

I just cut a roll of paper towels in half, stuff it in a coffee can and weld that to the block. That does me for the first 100,000 miles.

Don't be so crude. There's the guy that sells the paper towel and toilet roll filters. Those come with a nice machined aluminum screw on case. Now there is a guy on one of the Titan forums I read who uses some type of high quality reusable oil filter. I don't know what's on the inside. I DO know he should probably be dumping PTFE into it though. That's what Fram does so it must be right.

Joe, I've been on RAMFM since '97 or '98 and you've been here as long as I have.

Btw, while I still have the Mach1, I went over to the dark side and added a C6 to the mix in the driveway. :)

Hope J and J are healthy and doing fine.

So it has been that long, eh? ;) The memory is fading...

Glad to hear from you, and glad you're still driving the Mach1. Congrats on the C6 btw! That's a nice side to be on.

Everybody's well, thanks, hope the same's true for you. Joe's driving the LX now, but he'll be giving it up next year when he goes away to school. No car for the first year, but that will give me time to think about the LX as a restomod.

LOL!

Thanks Joe. The C6 is a marvelous ride and so different from the Mach 1. I still love Mustangs affordability and their simpler form and function. Getting into the Corvette is like sitting in the pilot seat of a modern jet aircraft. It rides better than any Mustang I've ever had and the LS2 power is mind boggling but for pure raw fun? A Mustang is still hard to beat. :)

Yes things are fine but changed. I'm now living in southern Maryland.

Oh dear....now I do feel old. :)

I've been reading your comments back and forth with dwight about the project. There is the less expensive way and then there is the expensive way. I think I'd do it up big if I had the chance and go for a new motor and all the assorted bells and whistles. Bill still has his two Fox Mustangs, the 89 and the 93 vert, plus Mike has his

88GT. They're both talking about doing some restomoding on the 89 and 88 within the next year.
