Just got my 85 GT from the paint shop!

Hey all!

Well I picked up my car lastnight from the paint shop and let me tell you that I am a happy camper and I am definitely going to get the guy who painted my car a little something for XMAS! A couple years back when I found this car it was rotted to hell..........replaced both doors...........hatch and then my mechanic had a "friend" who claimed could paint...........they fixed a few holes but did a really nasty job on my body and the paint was horrific with runs and such. Anyhow I hit a deer this summer and damaged my front end so it was the opportunity to justify getting the whole car painted. Sad for the deer but good for the ole Pony! The guy even got my fog lights working! Of course they are aftermarket but hey it looks cool! Well just thought I would share.......anybody want to see pics????

I want to see pics! I had a red 85 GT with black stripe down the center of the hood, red piping on the grey seats, and red backlighting for all the instruments/radio/dials. That was a fun car.

I had an 86 LX that the front got smashed in on. The car was black at the time, but I took the opportunity (and insurance $$$) to do a total repaint. Came out REALLY nice... beautiful bright RED !.. it was like having a new car.

Drove it for another year or so, and then the SN95's came out ... !!

Nice to see another early Mustang restored, these are disappearing pretty quickly these days. You don't see many nice examples out on the road anymore.

I have the original Marchal foglights available if you ever so desire.

"Early"...describing a 1985...damn I'm feeling the years. I got my '65 in '82. Now that '85 is older than my '65 when I got it.

More power to you folks keeping them 'early' Mustangs going!!

Don't read any sarcasm into that...I like those fox mustangs...In fact I like all Mustangs except the Mustang II notchbacks...then the 71-73 fastbacks...then the Mustang II fastbacks.

Hey guys,

Well I am still waiting for the darn weather to get better so I can properly store my freshly painted 85 GT. I wanted to pull her out of the garage and take some nice day pics but the weather up here is just not behaving! Anyhow I just hope for one day where it will be nice............If not I will take a couple shots for you guys to see even if she is in the garage.
