Need a source of the fuse block ID data for 02 GT 4.6L V8

I have a new problem in the grand son's GF Mustang. Seems there is a parasitic drain and I'll need a lay out of list with which fuse is what function.

Nice if a could find an electrical diagram.

No the owners manual is amount the missing and the Chiltons I have is no help.

TIA

Glad you got that starter fixed, that's quite a talented 10 year old. Keep her safe though.

Far as the fuses, you should find help here...

What kind of symptoms does she have?

Safe is her middle nam. Her dad or I miss a step on safety and we're called accountable.

Main problem was an intermittent ground on the chassis. Right now I've chased the last problem to a parasitic drain by the door switch (wireless door lock). No information on anything in that area. (btw the fuse lay out you gave me the link too was completely different from what's in this 02 GT. Still looking for that but do have them up and running but without the wireless door locks.

Oh, that fuse is in the power distribution box just forward of the drivers strut tower. It's a large orange 40A fuse nearest the fender (away from the engine)

Thanks found it early on. Original lest showed a start drain of near 2A. Left the meter hooked up and after 5 min or so (could have been less) the drain stabilized at 0.15A. That's 150 ma and by my thinking should not discharge the battery over night.

Any idea if this is a 'normal' reading or if it's high enough to cause problems?

While we were under the car I found a number of small things that if not attended to will cause problems and cost money. I'll get to those over the next seveal weeks.

I'm not sure, but 150mA may, or may not, could be normal around 50mA. These microprocessors in cars go into a sleep mode AFTER an hour though. I had to replace my 2000's battery a few years ago, and it MAY have been due to it sitting for long periods and Me neglecting to put a charger on it. I think the constant draining killed it prematurely.

Thanks, I'd not considered 'going to sleep'. And no I don't have time or intentions to measure the current over that much time. The best test is a real world test. If she does not have to jump it off Monday morning ... I'll declare it working.

Any vehicle that's going in for storage I disconnect the battery. RV or something in storage for less than a year I use a three stage charger as it a) does not cook the battery and b) it typically ready when I am.

Received a report this AM that after a weekend of being parked the car started without incident this morning.

Thanks
