I've been driving by the Infiniti dealership lately (between new house and old storage company) and I really like that FX. It has to be the 4.5 version though!

my used-to-be-a-daily-driver Mustang goes into semi-retirement (NO MOREWINTERS!) and I get her old '97 Contour. BTW, that '01 Explorer had 5,600miles when we bought it Tuesday night! You couldn't tell it from new, except that we paid almost 50% less than the new price!

.. where I spent a few hours yesterday. Amusingly, there were a few Mustangs (including a very fast, stock-looking '03 Cobra) mixing it with the rice^h^h^h^himport cars on the drag-strip.

IIRC, the Cobra driver was running 13.5s or somesuch. There was an SVT Lightning taking passes too, times in the mid 14s.

My goodness it's hideous! My aunt just got one of those not too long ago. Their old Pathfinder looks much nicer.

I couldn't really afford the FX, I bought the Murano and just paid for it. The FX45 screams, the FX35 is not really that much slower, I drove both and they were really close to the same and hard to tell the difference. There is a noticable difference from the Murano to the FX45, but it's not a huge difference.

I bought it BECAUSE it's not like all the other square truck looking SUVs. And be carful, the V8 version will waist the 94 Lightning :oP

Yeah, lots of things can smoke the lightning now days, lol! The poor old thing barely reaches the 14's. You are right though, there is definitely nothing square about that thing, and hey, its not abuot what WE like anyway, its about what YOU like. Hope it treats you well, Erik D.
