OT: Finally! House AND a Truck!

We take posession of our house today. Finally!

It's been a test of patience and will power, but we finally found the right place. It's in Scotts Hill Tennessee, just a few miles from Lexington TN and

30 miles east of Jackson.

It's a cute little 8 year old brick house, 2000 s.f., 2 car attached garage,

3 bdrms, 2 full and 2 half baths, great kitchen with an island (and I get a new thermadore stove!), living room, dining room, family room with a fireplace, a 24x40 shop on 10.5 acres with a pond. All for $149,900 Great area too! Just 20 minutes from 6 lakes and the Tennessee river. Room to put in a pistol range and some beautiful trees on it too. It's so peaceful! All you can hear is the breeze blowing through the pines, and they smell so sweet when it's raining. It's like a little slice of heaven.

Tennessee is one of the most wonderful places I have ever been. The countryside is beautiful and the people here are warm and welcoming. I am amazed at the people here, they are fantastic. They make us feel like we have come home after we have been away a long long time.

We bought a truck last night, a 99 F-250 powerstroke, 4x4, supercab 6 speed... now Pa has a pickup again. We had been looking for a truck like this for about 6 months, and found it last night right there in our new home town.

So, I will finally not be in (mobile) mode again... sigh and Shug will get a proper detailing and have a place to sleep inside again. Everyone here that has seen her has stopped to admire her, even in her scroungy condition. It's pretty cool!

Congratulations hon!

*L* Diesel truck eh? Good idea, if poor Shug get stuck, teh 250 can pull her out. :-)

I bet she is happy to. So are you going to keep her? if so, better see if 'KizThiz' is available as a personalized tag in TN. Maybe you can sell the rights to your Ca one on eBay. *L*

Have fun moving in hon!

Congrats!

Son of a gun! We're practically part-time neighbors. We've got a place just outside of Memphis on the west side of Germantown, we only spend a couple months a year there now, but once the kiddies finish school, we'll probably call it home.

You'll whistle a different tune, when those same pines are coating 'shug with pollen. :D Jus' kiddin'. Sounds excellent! Money sure goes a long way down there, as far as real estate is concerned, eh?

Sounds like everything has fallen into place, enjoy the new home! __ John C. '03 Cobra Convt.

Diesel. Oof. A 7,000 pound rolling carcinogen.

It helps to case out the next car you're gonna steal.

Did you know the Sheriff in Deliverance drove a Big Block-powered Ford station wagon? Just thought I'd share.

Well, it isn't quite Paris, but I still have family down that way. Pull out a map and look for McKenzie and you can see where I spent a lot of summer's at. It ain't that far from you.

The area you are in is really nice. Milan and Martin aren't that far away either and they have some nice visiting places. Make sure you guys drive down to Skullbone as well. Get a bumper sticker.

Shoot and addy this way when you get a chance.

That's DEMONIC posession, thank you very much.

We escaped the insanity that IS California.

Y'all bettah bring some beer if you do!

LOL, have not hooked up with Tungsten yet. Everyone here is much more normal than we're used to.

Oh yea baby!

The Mustang SN95 is the #2 most stolen vehicle in Tennessee... the #1 is a GMC pickup.

Do you suppose that was so he could carry a prisoner or two, AND his buck?

Thanks sweetie! You gonna come up and see us?

Oh yea, Dick said "And about a dozen more like her!" and grinned that Tim Taylor Grin

I am still on the fence there, if I can POSSIBLY come up with a way to get a grocery getter, then prolly. I'm so far upside down on her right now it would cost me $6000 just to sell her. That, and I'm kind of attached, ya know. Only about a year and a half left on the payments.

HAH! My old plates will hang proudly in her stall, thank you very much!

Wanna help?

I only miss my family, have not missed the Valley once since we arrived. If you're ever out this way, holler!

We've been right through there! When do you come up here?

Man, it's fantastic! 15 minutes from the Tennessee River and Natchez Trace. In California this would have been 3/4 of a mil. What I am emjoying the most so far are the people, they are "just folks" It's amazing.

Thanks John :)
