Switching from regular to convertable engine mounts????

I have a hatchback 88 GT, I just purchased some convertable engine mounts to replace my stock old ones but am having trouble finding a way to make them fit. Anyone have any suggestions of have done the same thing before? Help would be much appreciated.

they are a direct swap. try leaving the two bolts on the block loose then you can movethem a little. when you set the motor down tighten them up. good luck! //Jeff

Just a question, but what are the benefits of the convertible mounts? I was told by some local races to get them since my mounts are toasted. But I forgot to ask why?

it's just a stronger mount, you wont notice a difference if your regular mounts are already ok. BUT since yours are toast then go for it. Mike

I had a set put on when I had my rear gears chaned, mine needed them too, the fan was touching the bottom of the shroud.

Tranny, shifter, clutch pedal, clutch, clutch cable, firewall adjuster, 8-10 hours labor. You can figure all that in as a baseline. Prices may vary.
