I stopped by the dealer or some touch-up paint for my 96. Apparently Opal Frost for a 1996 Mustang has been discontinued.
Anyone know where I can start looking to find one in stock somewhere?
Thanks
Marc

Google returned this
thanks for the link.
Even though I do rank myself pretty high up the *smart-ass* ladder, I didn't think that was necessary.
Isn't this the place to ask questions?
Another gem for the r.a.m.f.m. "greatest hits" folder. :D

Actually yes it is. The guy helped me then made a smart-ass comment. I replied with thanks and a smart-ass reply. Then you chimed in, insulted me and accused me of being ungrateful. Here is the definition of the thanks I gave him per dictionary.com:
thank tr.v. thanked, thank·ing, thanks 1.. To express gratitude to; give thanks to: He thanked her for the gift.
This whole thread reminds me of a post I made here a couple of years ago. I made a post reminding people to be more watchful of pedestrians on the road. At the time I went through a police trap trying to catch people not yeilding to pedestrians. Generally, I made the post with people's general safety in mind.
It turned into some a-hole posting with the worst reading comprehesion imaginable. He basically accused me of trying to mow-down pedestrians and that I was a menace to society. As absurd as his comments were, I tried to re-explain what I saw on the way to work that day. It still didn't get through to this guy and explained once again. No luck. The insults got worse. I gave up.
To me the Internet compares to a busy city: The more people the greater chance of running into an idiot.
have a nice day.
PS: Where can I find out the weather forcast in my area?

As is Bright Blue metallic (code KF) for my 1995. Grrrr. I tried avery dealer in the area. No go...
Your best bet (and apparently mine) is to find a automotive paint store and have them mix it for you...

I took the advise given to me earlier by the geniuses of ramfm and did a google search for *automotive touch-up paint* and came up with a bunch of places online that you can order from.
That link posted earlier didn't work for me either.

Wait until you meet Brad from Canada! Talk about Comedy!!
Sure. You got an answer - a *useful* answer - and a little nudge to make more effective use of the Internet tools yourself. You needn't have a bruised ego.

Aw geez. Control the egos, kids.

I ordered a Tube of paint Scratch filler from my local Stealer (2) weeks ago and it's STILL NOT here yet.
My car is a pretty rare color 7H Medium Regatta Blue BTW.
I "may" have to resort to the Automotive Paint Store option as well.

This is by far the best advice posted in this thread of discussion yet. Ignore the chest-beating from the resident stripebacks -- they tend to post for their own amusement more than anything. Kinda like the guys you meet in Real Life who talk for the sake of hearing themselves.
Anyway, I had to have the rear bumper on my GT replaced a while back because some ditz teenage girl rear-ended the car, and the body shop gave me the leftover paint in a small pint can. That stuff makes the
*best* touch-up paint you could ever hope for.Far superior adhesion than the garbage autoparts stores and stealerships sell in those little tubes.
I wasn't putting you down. I was merely offering constructive criticism. Sorry you took that as an insult. I'll know better than to bother in the future.
I went back and clicked my original link.... POOF!!! Duplicolors website....... I clicked on your link and.... POOF!!! Duplicolors website.
I didn't think that a little remark about "using resources" would create such a stir..... Just think of a world where everybody has to ask everybody else for help and nobody ever "looks in the book". Google is your friend..... use it often, use it wisely...... using it will keep folks from being condescending...

I got through to them a few weeks back via their tech/admin contact phone#. Seems they took my comments to heart and fixed the issue.
Unfortunately they do NOT stock Ford color code KF and so far have not responded to my email request.
Google is one's friend but it doesn't always work, as proven by the above. I did about 12 pages of links looking for somebody who carries my Bright Blue Metallic (code KF) until I gave up.
Looks like I'm left with finding a good automotive paint store that can blend my color. I hate to do that for a little jar of touch up paint though...
