One of the contacts you should make is with Bob Hanlon at Hanlon Motorsports in St Peters, PA, it's located outside of Pottstown (southeast corner of the state). He sells them, rebuilds them and is a great source of technical info. His price may not be the cheapest but he will be competitive.

He rebuilt a T-5 for my '93 LX and did a terrific job at a very good price. I visited him a few times and found him to be releible and h> Where is the best place to buy a Tremec replacement 5 speed for my 91

MessageFord Racing sells a T-56 6-speed with bellhousing to fit a 5.0/5.8 for somewhere around $2300. Ran across it in the little Summit Racing update that went out not too long ago. This is the '03 Cobra transmission, rated at 400lb/ft. I believe it said that there may be crossmember modifications and it requires a slightly shorter driveshaft.

I'm seriously considering this option for my '97 Cobra.... though the transmission costs an extra $200 or so for the 4.6 cars...

MessageTry D & D Transmissions. I bought a Tremec TKO from them for my 86 Vert, and it was about the cheapest I could find. Great service, too!
