Finally, after 2 years I made it back to the drag strip Tuesday. Weather was hot and sticky, but oh well, can't always pick the best days to play. Car ran fairly well. Made 6 passes. 3 of them were 13.18 @ 104.3. 1 at
13.17, also at 104. 2nd pass I seemed to forget where both 2nd and 3rd gear were located for a blazing 14.5 @ 100, (oops lol). Last pass I short shifted the 1-2 shift, and that hurt me to a tune of 13.28 @ 103. Traction was awful with most 60 foot times in the 1.96x range every pass. That was even with M&H racemasters. (granted, they are getting a bit old).Wish I could have backed up my best ever pass of 12.97 from a couple years ago, but I guess it was not in the cards. Still had a ton of fun tho. Always fun to be able to get out and bang thru 4 gears legally. :) If work permits I might even try to go back this coming Tuesday again.
