Where's T-Frog?

Loading thread data ...

Of course, I'm here. Where else would I be?

I think I just bought my new Mustang, but it turned out to be a 2008 Ford Focus for my daughter. I co-signed the loan for her, so I may have to "suffer" with the Frogs for another year or two. I'm happy, though - her '99 Mystique was in a bad way and becoming untrustworthy. She has a longer commute these days and will be driving to school 3 nights a week in the Fall (gotta finish up that Bachelor's degree), so I was happy to help. Cute little Focus, too - BRIGHT red.

Meanwhile, I'm off tomorrow to get a haircut. Seems I've been having a bad case of convertible hair lately. Weather's been fantastic.

Oh yeah, perfect for that here, 98-100 degrees and 80% humidity....

I know all about/understand that. Kids/education was a reason I didn't jump into a new Goat, Magnum, etc earlier. Kids got to come first.

And if you wait a few years the V6 Stang will likely be pushing 360HP by then. :-)

My daughter loves her little ['03] Focus! And the SVT suspension package she added (a X-mas present I bought her) made it even better. (Check out that package -- it's sweet!)

Be glad you have hair. My 23-year old son, after losing most of his hair, finally took a razor to his head. Poor kid! Now as soon as he brings up old-man jokes, I switch the topic to hair -- shuts him up pretty quick.

I haven't made up my mind yet, and I'm still looking at the numbers. Even though I'm "on the hook" for her auto loan, we should still be able to swing a new Mustang if I want to pull that trigger. If I go with the six, it wouldn't be until the performance package is available, but then a $30,000

5.0 is VERY appealing.... Still, worst case is that I have the Frogs for a few more years, and that's a worst case I can gladly live with.

Hah! We're talkin' the Princess here. The Focus SES is fine just the way it is.

I never complain about having too much hair. The opposite is true for many in our family, so I never complain. And I'm not allowed to use it against The Boy, who's also in danger of hair loss, or my wife would kill me. He just hit 30, so the old-man jokes are less frequent now, anyway. (Funny how that happens.)

I love having my hair cut, but I hate going to get a haircut, so I put it off too long. When it starts interfering with my top-down driving, I know it's time.

Check it out and be amazed. I saw internet prices as low as $214.50. Not a bad price for a SVT Focus suspension setup.

Okay, I'm amazed. For me, it would be a no-brainer and I'd order it today. For her... I'll think on it.

That incredible 2.0 powerplant AND handling? Might be too much car.

An excellent driver of an excellent Miata told me this Focus (it /is/ a Focus, right?) was an entry to be concerned about (SCCA National Tour, San Diego).

If you had to send your child out in a car without one or the other of the engine or the handling, which would you have her leave at home?
