Clutch Peddle Issue with Primera

Can you be more precise with your problem. eg., year of car etc.

I have a 2.0l petrol primera '99 and if I don't press the clutch down to the floor the gears grate.

When you say "loosing compression when trying to change gear" are you revving the engine as you change gears?

If you are, it might be that there is a rev limiter kicking in when the clutch is pressed.

This is only guess work as the lorry I drive at work (diesel), I can rev the arse off it in nutrel, but when I press the clutch in, the revs won't go passed 1500 rpm's
