Has the new 2008 Frontier XE fixed the problems on the 2004 Frontier XE

For the 2004 XE:

  1. Foot operated parking brake on manual transmission, hand brake not available.

  1. A/C remains on after defrost is activated - not possible to turn a/c off without turning off ignition. Dealer cannot fix, its a design feature.

  2. Dome light not operative by driver while driving down the road and no dome light above driver, only way back and cannot be reached..

  1. Both doors rattles, dealer fix only temporary.

  2. Radio (cd player died) right after warranty, replace with new headunit will activate airbag warning light (or even defeat air bags?).

  1. Average 20 MPG on the 4 cylinder, manual transmission with driving range a little over 200 miles. Tank should have a little more capacity and fuel efficiency could have been a little better.

Just wondering if the above have been addressed on the new 2008 Frontiers.

And a good one. The AC dries the air that is blowing on the windshield so that the inside doesn't fog up with moist air. In cold rainy weather, all the interior windows fog up from damp clothes and moist breath. I turn on the AC along with the heat to remove the fog. Besides, it is recommended that one operate the AC once in a while in the winter.

Ok but once the fog goes away, there is no way to turn the a/c off when its no longer needed. Seems like a waste of energy considering gas price is going above $4/gal. All other cars I have, you could turn the a/c off anytime, just not Nissan.
