Problem with 1998 Nissan Quest Power locks (gets unlocked automatically, while being driven)

Hi, My Nissan Quest (1998) GXE, recently started giving me this strange problem. The power door locks gets unlocked automatically 1.while vechicle is in the motion(that is while it is being driven). After that even you manually lock it, by using the powerlocks switch, the power door locks gets unlocked automatically within few minutes. 2. This happens even when the vehicle is turned off. My Vehicle is having about 38K miles. when I bought vehicle from a nissan dealer, I had him install the Checkmate security system with the remote start, auto powerlocks etc., fancy things.

The nissan dealer could not figure out what the problem is and wants to do more diagnostics. On someone's advise, I had the passenger door actuator also changed. Still I have the same problem. I thought some thing to do with the security system and had it changed with Viper. Still I am facing this problem. The security is working fine. The vehicle is as such working fine(other than this problem).

I spent lot of money on this.

I would greatly appriciate any advise on this. Thanks alot in advance

Power door locks automatically activating is a common problem with the Quest. My GXE automatically locks when the drivers door is bumped from inside, or when the door closes.

It has to do with the switch on the drivers door to lock/unlock.

Be prepared for more electrical problems. Nissan used FORD electonics. Mechanically, its a wonderful van, but the interior electonics are buggy.

Other issues are: Rear window wiper activating automatically when it rains. The back heating/cooling contol panel is sensitive to impact and will stop working (along with the rear blower motor) if it is hit.
