quest power lock actuator repair/replace

The driver side power lock on my 94 quest stopped working. after confirming the 'actuator' (servo-motor unit that drives the locking mechanism) was getting power and that all the other power locks on the car work, I removed it, opened it up and found a dead motor.

Any body done this repair themselves? The 'dealer' part cost alone is $125. I'm hoping that if I go to the junk yard, that a driver side Nissan actuator might be the same for multiple years/models to increase my odds of finding the right one.

For my $125 can I go get an after market remote lock installed (or at least the parts needed) on the driver's side?

Suggestions welcomed,

-Phil
