ACT clutch shudder

I installed an ACT Stage 1 (whatever is rated for just a little more than stock) back in June. 97SE, 139k now. The motor mounts that I could see (front, rear, and drivers' side) were good, but are original. Immediately I had clutch shudder at low speed in fwd and reverse. I attributed it to not resurfacing the flywheel (couldn't figure out how to remove it in a reasonable amount of time), and hoped the disc would break in to it. It got a little better but the shudder persists in low gears at low speeds.

I've heard that going to a stiffer engine mount can fix it, which suggests a resonance issue. As well, during my clutch job I left the motor insufficiently supported for an evening (the tranny side sagged a few inches), and I worry I stressed the pass. side mount enough to damage it.

Suggestions on where to go - mounts, flywheel resurfacing, or something else?

I hate to say it Dave but...

I'd have to start with cleaning up the flywheel.

I NEVER do a clutch job without getting the flywheel resurfaced for exactly this reason, otherwise I'd be removing the transmission for free... no money , and fixing it.

Well then, how do I remove the flywheel on a 4th gen Maxima? I got stuck on that because I didn't have something to hold it from rotating, and I didn't have air tools handy.
