cold weather starting

95 max 145k a/t hard to start in cold weather fine otherwise just cranks and cranks unless i apply pressure to the accel (something you're not supposed to have to do with fuel inj i thought) then when it starts it'll die unless i keep light pressure on accel for about 10 seconds then it runs fine and normal this happen to anyone else? anybody know what it is?
