squealing belt on 96 infiniti (maxima)

having trouble quelling the squeal from a belt. it's done it since the belt was replaced. it's been checked by a couple of mechanics. no real answers from them. i,ve drenched it with belt dressing as best i could. it's extremely difficult to access, even for that.

look for failing bearing/cracked mount on an accessory

reverse the belt and try it

get a new belt

try a different brand of belt

I dunno

Chances are it was installed too loose originally and the surface was glazed from the friction. Only solution is probably to replace it with a good name brand belt torqued correctly. Belt goop is never a good long term solution.

replace the belts with factory OEM parts and make sure they are tensioned correctly

Not sure which belt is difficult to access - if you take of the drivers side wheel, and the plastic shroud in the wheel well (two screws and 2 clips) both belts are right there - easy to see, inspect, and replace.
