106 headlamp fault

Hi

Have a 106 which currently only one head lamp is working correctly, the other is dim, changed bulb and no change. i have seen in other posts that the dim/dip resistor needs replacing, is this a common fault, if so where is the dim dip resistor located and is it easy to change, other posts suggest relays may be a cause

cheers

Also check the earths to all the front lights.

I would also suspect a wiring fault, like the earth connection is corroded. Assuming that you have the lights full on, then it will not be the dim-dip resistor, as that is not in circuit. Also, is it the same on dip and main beam? Assuming both are dim, then you can be sure it is the earth, as that is the only common feature.
