i have a 97 d turbo with 81k on the clock as this is my first diesel i havent got a clue whether its normal or not i no that oil burners do soot but i have noticed that mine smokes all the time now in 2nd and 3rd gear and while most of it does look black in the headlights of rear cars upclose like pulling away from the lights it looks bluey aswel also as i dont no anybody personally to compare mine with also when its coming to boost theres like a hiss noize from 2500rpm to 3000rpm, is this boost loss frm a leaking pipe from turbo or simply the the intercooler doing its job does it sound normal or could it just be dirty internals that a fuel additive could help or should i take it to a specialist for them to have a look?
