306 - External Temp sensor

Hi everyone,

The other day I posted a few questions about some electrical probs with my

306, thx to those who replied.

I need to more specific info on howto test the sensor, to work out if it's dead or if it's a loom problem (PLEASE NO!)

What kind of resistance/voltage should I expect to see across the sensor?

I have a feeling about my rear heater window I have some kind of short as it's dropping to about 2V when I have the load (element) in the circuit.

Thx for any technical advise in advance

Stu

Never measured it, sorry, but this is quite a common problem, and it is normally the sensor element. Just change it.

Can I refer you back to the reply I gave to your previous post.

Hello,

Did you find out the resistance/voltage? I also have problem with engine temperature on my 306.

I called Peugeot dealer and was told the temperature sensor is designed for 5V, but when I asked which one the dealer could not answer.

By the way, the gauge on my car started showing wrong temperature. I checked the engine, it has normal temperature. Can this be because of the temperature sensor or it is a faulty gause? When I tried to test sensors I found one green and one blue sensors. If it is sensor's fault, which one in your opinion is faulty?
