Hi,

There is no service manual for the 605 in english, as far as i know. There is a manual in french from the "revue technique" series. Check it out before buying. You wont find it very usefull if you dont speak french, and i also think, that it is not of much help anyway. The original manuals from Peugeot cover 6 DIN A4 folders. Maybe your local dealer lets you fotocopy some of them. I got some copies of manuals from my pug-dealer, but they are in german.

Hello,

I don't think there's one.

True, RTA nr.704, P/N11176, covering 4-cyl petrol & Diesel engines, but not V6.

Being french & having a RTA (the one covering 205 Diesels), they're useless if you don't speak french, I have to agree. But that's true whatever technical description is concerned. You need to know what you want to do, it just helps and isn't a step-to-step manual. Last but not least, the revue technique is made of a paper that stands grease not that bad. Nice in a workshop !

Another way to go would be to get the Peugeot CDs, as they usually cover

605s. Not a manual, but gives drawings & part numbers. I wish I had the CD set !

Hello Matthias!

Do you have it in PDF? German is no problem for me, for French I have a friend who is translator - so no problem in language part. The reason, why I need them is following. I exchanged the engine from petrol to diesel (2,1 litres turbo diesel) and have trouble with some warning lights, fuel tank indicator and engine speed indicator in speedometer. It doesn't get right signal because the wiring is still original (3,0 litres 24V petrol engine) except some wires in engine. Yes, car runs smoothly, has all possible equipment. The only problem is with mentioned indicators in speedometer and the progresive power steering. Of course I installed the diesel version of speedometer, but the connectors are still from petrol version as I wrote. Power steering somehow doesn't work on during parking, but on highways the steering is even to soft.

If you have any idea...

Danke und liebe Grusse aus Slowenien,

Blaz

@P605-Driver Well, i have most of them in PDF. Mail me, and i see, if i can mail you the manual for the power steering. The manuals for the wiring are rather thick (about 400 pages each model year), so i scanned only the one for the 1991 model. All together, i have about 500 MB PDF files. Maybe a CD is better. Well let's see, just drop me an email.

@G.T. The CDs from Peugeot cover the x06 models for repair but not the x05. Only for part searching, the CDs cover also the x05 models. I got a copy of the CDs also, but on my Windows XP system the search does not work. As they are from 2002, i think, that there is a newer version, which will run on Windows XP too. Unfortunatelly i could not get my hands on this version, but they are beeing sold on ebay-uk from time to time.

Well, german seems to be not that much of a problem for you Matthias
