thanks in advance!
According to some data I downloaded from a web site that has now become defunct, that is your paint code. The C means that it is varnished metallic and the EGR means Provence Blue.
thanks keith
Is it also MOGR which is also on the plate in the boot?
another piccy! --->
Our 306 has CEGR in the engine compartment, and is the same colour as yours. No idea about the boot plate.
D
This is from the document I downloaded from the now defunct web site, I have extracted the codes that refer to the 306. There are also later codes but nothing that begins with M:
This bit refers to the first letter:
A - Opaque unvarnished B - varnished non-metallic C - varnished metallic D - pearlescent lacquered
This refers to the following three letters:
Platinum Silver EYC Cossack Grey ETH Blaze Yellow EDX Tuscany Green KRU tie break green KSJ Anthracite EXC Venetian Green EQU Provence Blue EGR Nile Blue EGQ Pharaoh Gold EDU Sherwood Green KRF Astor Grey EYJ Moonstone EYL
Try
But they are all earler codes and all have a number in them. I note that the newer all letter codes have no I's or O's in them. The all letter codes don't start with an M as can be seen on this page
Is it just me, or is that page full of nonsense ?
My 406 Coupe is a 2001 car. It's Polaris Blue, and the Paint Code is MOGT. I know this to be true, because I watched my local dealer look it up on the Peugeot system (via my chassis number) when I needed a touch up pen.
Neither Polaris Blue, nor MOGT, are anywhere The paint code is a 4-letter code. Example: Ardent Red EWPA--. The 4th is the paint type. A - Opaque unvarnished B - varnished non-metallic C - varnished metallic D - pearlescent lacquered
Clearly something is wrong with that statement, because the 4th letter of my code is a T :)
Hi Nom !
It's been a long time not seen :-)
Am I out of date, I always thought that codes starting with M were standing for Metallic paints ?
Regards, G.T (MORM - '93 metallic quartz grey)
205 Diesel & turbo-Diesel :
It is Metallic. Or Perleascent - I don't know what the difference is :) But it's not a "flat" colour, if you see what I mean ! It changes slightly from blue to a bit of turquoise, if you get the light at the right angle, so I think it probably is Perleascent ?
