I'm trying to find the paint code on my metallic purpley 405.
I can't find any thing that looks like a paint code on either of the plates at the front, but on the n/s suspension leg there is a marking.... M4JF. Is this the paint code??

Took this paint code to local factors, and to Halfrauds, nothing listed, and nothing like it, no number/letter combinations at all, phoned Pug dealer, no help what so ever.....

Strange, a Pug dealer *should* know the Peugeot paint codes... I had no problems getting paint at the official dealer for my old 405 with the paint code printed... I know my was M1TA (Gris Magnum), no problem at all.... So M4JF should not be a problem either...

I think you had a lucky escape there, the dealer would have charged you a lot more! I think I had something similar done to my old 405, I can't remember the exact cost but I'm sure I've not had a bill from them thats come to less than £80.
