Is there anybody who can get a radio code for our stereo?

Hang on I'll just get my crystal ball out!

What make and model of both car and radio would be a good start!

Your best bet is to find one of the car audio specialists who come to you and read the code from the stereo. I've had to do this twice with secondhand pugs.

A dealer can get the code from the VIN, or maybe just the registration, but it'll cost at least £10.

You could try asking here.

But you will need the radio model number, make and serial number.

If it is a radio that can be decoded by serial number then there are plenty of programmes to do this on emule for free.

I suspect that a Peugeot radio will need the eeprom read however.

Getting hold of a sound replacement radio is not always the end of the story although obtaining a code is no problem.. My radio is a Philips which carries a 14 digit serial on the side of the radio beginning with 'PH', quoting this will secure a code, which doesn't mean success. You need to check the history...My code entries failed first time round because the radio had timed out, i.e security only allows you so many attempts before it collapses coompletely and it turned out that the unit needed unlocking and other attention well beyond my capability and obviously beyond that of any expert in North East Scotland which is why I sent it to SWS Solutions in Crawley on the Friday and got it back in perfect working order the following Tuesday...all for about twenty quid including postage. (PS by the way I'd never heard of them before..no mates relations or business contacts..promise!.

OK assuming for a moment it's an origional peugeot radio in a fairly recent car, I've had success before just ringing the dealer who origionaly supplied the car. They keep this information in their sales records (Or the one I tried did) I got mine down the phone for the promise of a pint if I was ever passing.
