01 trans am VAT System ignition locks

2001 WS6 trans am with starting problems: car turned off while driving,But has started once since.replaced crank sensor and checked other systems ak fuel coil packes.GM parts guy said it was the ignition lock was bad. has anyone had this problem and what was the cure.zoom

Your VATS is not supposed to shut your car off while its running. Thats a safety hazard. It's only designed to PREVENT the engine from being started. Tell your parts guy he is FOS!
