1996 Bonneville question

Group- I have a 1996 Pontiac Bonneville, bought recently, with 52,000 original miles, and clean as a whistle. My only problem is that the light indicator does not show the time of day or the radio station that I am listenting to. Is this a simple thing (like a fuse)?....or is it a more serious problem?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

The 1961 Bonneville was better.

Sounds to me like it is a problem with the display, especially if the radio/CD player is working ok. Checking the fuses is always a good first step, but you may need to replace the display, and that is likely to be a pain in the lower back.

If you are talking about the display on the Radio, that is usually a blown light bulb in the stereo unit itself. You have to take the stereo out of the car, take the cover off it, and replace the bulb. If memory serves, on a

1996, that's all you have to do, as opposed to the newer stereo's where you need to solder in the new bulb.
